So if you are going to buy a Syrah wine, how will you store it to optimize its taste?  The most effective way is by using wine cellars.  There are many advantages that you can get if you invest in a wine cellar especially if you are a wine collector.  The ideal environment is achieved when you have a cellar inside your house.  This also makes your storing easier.

One of the important reasons why having a wine cellar is very beneficial is the maintenance of temperature.  Temperature is very crucial when it comes to wines because it can ruin the wine’s quality of taste.  A Syrah wine is best stored in an area with 55 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit but best served in 64 degrees.  High temperature can cause oxidation of the wine while low temperature can cause slow down in aging process.

Another important factor to consider is humidity.  Too much humidity can cause molds and mildew while too little can make the cork dry out and shrink.  It is important that the cork is always in place to avoid air from going in the bottle and cause oxidation of the wine.

Lastly, light plays an important role in optimizing the flavor of red wines.  Wines should be stored in a dark place because light can oxidize wines.  This is the reason why many cellars are placed in basements.

Having a wine cellar is very important if you are going to store wines. It has the ideal temperature, humidity and light and the wines will not be disturbed by vibrations.  With a cellar in your house, you will be assured that your Syrah wine will be served perfectly.
